Tasks and Objectives

The GCTP bundles the research and development activities on the German building sector and promotes them in the European alliance. In this connexion a programmatic orientation takes place according to the aims of the "European Construction Technology Platform - ECTP".

Tasks:

• Consultancy and coordination of research and development in civil engineering in order to overcome the predominant fragmentation in Germany
• Realising and enforcement of the German concerns in the European discussion on support and development of the construction sector
• Close contact to political authorities, public authorities and economic organisations
• Consultancy, information and support of the ECTP
• Public relation

Objectives:

• In the future the GCTP wants to represent and to promote the interests of the German building industry during the development of European research programmes by the ECTP.
• The GCTP wants to put forth the ideas of its members for the exploratory demand in civil engineering purposeful on the development of European research programmes.
• The GCTP wants to supply the ECTP purposeful with national information in order to preserve a verstile and practical orientated research network.
• The GCTP wants to improve the communication between its members in order to promote or facilitate cooperation in research.
